Sannadhis
The main Sannadhi (sanctum sanctorum) is of Sri Balaji. His consorts ‘Sri’ and ‘Bhoo’ have sannadhis on his right and left – Sri Padmavathi Thayar and Sri Godha Devi (or Sri Andal). Sri Seetha and Sri Rama with Lakshmana and Hanuman have a sannadhi, and a separate sannadhi is also there for Sri Hanuman. Sri Sudarshanar (the Lord’s weapon, discus), who destroys evils and gives protection to devotees along with Sri Yoga Nrisimha has a sannadhi. There is a sannadhi for eminent Sri Vaishnavite Gurus of the past eras (Azhwars and Acharyas). A separate Temple for Navagraha (astrological nine planets) and Sri Paduka (of the Lord) also exists. The Mandir is built on the South Indian sculptural style, with a Raja Gopuram (main entrance tower). |
